Let's say you want to use different page numbers or number formats and styles in different parts of your document. You could use page numbers such as i, ii, iii for the introduction and table of contents and 1, 2, 3 for everything after. Apps for mind mapping mac.

It's not possible to the best of my knowledge. A workaround - create a copy of the document as your 'read-only' version. Open Pages and from the 'documents' view - tap Edit in the upper right corner - tap the document that you want to copy to select it - then tap the + sign in the upper left corner. This will create a copy of your document title Document Name (the document's name) Copy.
Is Pages Only For Macs
This way you don't have to worry about tapping and changing something accidentally. Not ideal - but it works.
