I got a Macbook Air (2017) a few months ago and i've been thinking about playing The Sims 4 on it. Will i be able to play it without my Mac overheating (too much) or the game crashing/lagging? I am able to smoothly run other 'heavy' software on it (like after effects, which i was told wouldn't work well). I very recently got a Macbook air (2020) It's 13 inches with i3 instead of i5 (idk for what i'm not good with computers) I have a few questions regarding sims on here. First of all, will running the game permanently hurt my laptop in any way? Second, would a cooling pad help, i haven't even op. Lastly, once Windows is installed you can download drivers for the specific graphics card your mac has (if it has one) and run Windows Update etc. And from there you'll be able to download and install Origin and get your mac prepped to play The Sims 4! Congrats, your mac is ready to play The Sims 4. Hope this guide helped. I'm downloading sims 4 on my MacBook Air 2017 So it says that the file is 24.4GB big but my Mac already downloaded the 26.2GB file and it says that it is still.

In my house The Sims is the game to play. We all spend hours creating the perfect Sim, trying to make them look like each other and even building a house to look like ours. On more than one occasion I’ve been asked to do someone’s hair just like a Sim character! Since #TheSims4 has smarter Sims with even weirder stories, we HAD to have it!

Since we play a lot of video games, but since two of our computers are Macs, we figured out how to play PC games on a Mac, too!
The first thing you need to do is to Bootcamp your Mac. This isn’t some silly workaround. Apple actually has instructions for how to bootcamp your Mac on their website and the software is already installed on your computer. So you don’t need to worry about security and all that.
We bought a copy of The Sims™ 4 at Wal-Mart in their PC gaming section.

Once you’ve set up you Mac to to boot in Windows mode, just hold down control and start your computer! Click the drive you named “Windows” and your Mac will boot up in Windows mode so you can play The Sims™ 4!
