- Hi Jeff, Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help. Office 2019 and Office 365 run the same app, the difference lies in the purchased plan, and Office 2019 is a one-time purchase product so you don’t need to purchase a new subscription, the prompt that appeared is the default recommendation plan of Office when it is not activated.
